Supporting and reinvesting in our great community and our great annual events and traditions is a staple philosophy at JTV. There is no tradition or event quite like our first class Civil War Muster and we were very pleased to build a new website for the event. The website is chalk full of photos that JTV has taken of the event over the years, allowing you to see what its really all about. The website has every form you need to get involved with the event as a re-enactor, food vendor, arts & crafts, volunteer, etc.

Let this release serve as notice that the Jackson Civil War Society will not be hosting a Muster in 2019, but will be back in 2020.
This decision was not arrived at lightly. For 34 years, the Jackson Civil War Muster has brought history to life in Jackson, MI. We realize the Muster is an eagerly anticipated annual event and we will be working hard to make positive changes that will breathe new life into the Muster, ensuring that our 35th year will be the grandest ever, as well as to ensure it’s longevity for years to come.
We would like to thank those who have attended, sponsored and participated in the Muster over the course of 34 years and only hope you share in the excitement as we re-group to make this event even better, beginning in 2020. We also encourage your input and participation.
While we regret the need to take a year off, we find it necessary to do so in order to ensure the future of the event.
